About Us
The Estrella Cup Race takes place in Estrella Mountain Ranch, a hilltop community nestled on the west side of the Estrella Mountains and the Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear, Arizona.
Estrella hosts over 50 miles of popular mountain bike trails. One cluster of trails located on the southwestern edge of Estrella is Fantasy Island North Singletrack (aka FINS). But it’s the perilous single-track of the Pirate Trails on the mountains and cliffs to the northeast where riders gather to compete in the Estrella Cup.
No discussion of the Estrella Cup would be complete without mentioning the dedicated volunteers of the Estrella Trails Group who build and maintain the trails used in the race. Most weekends you can find these intrepid adventurers perched on rugged cliffs, clearing established trails and building new ones, often in a very harsh environment. Volunteers are always needed, so if you live in the area please consider joining our efforts.
We’re still adding new trails. One of these is a high mountain trail called Blackbeard. Watch a video of an early build.
